Charge not valid for segmentation strategy (ATP rule)

Dear Experts,

right now I am trying to customizing "demand and stock segmentation" within an 1709 release.

I have made all the configuration steps, the segmentation works using batches. I have in my example three different segments and can book goods receipts, creating forecasts and post goods issues for deliveries.

Now my problem:

I am trying to active automatic batch search strategy. I have done all the required customizing, but the system is not able to find the batch automatically. Within an sales order I need to make the following manual steps in VA02 or VL02N:

1) Click on determine batch Then the batch determination windows shows up.

2) Click on "Selection criteria" and confirm. Now it shows me the charachteristics I have included to my material and batch within the class. I have additionally a batch search class available, which contains the charchteristics as well.

3) Click on the yellow arrow to the right in order to take over the data which was found. Now it shows me the available batches.

4) Click on "copy", now the system includes the batch to the sales order line item or delivery line item.

I receive the following warning:

Charge "NNN" not valid for segmentation strategy "MM" (ATP rule)
Message no. V4500

Can someone of you please help and support to find my error?

This issue looks to do with your segmentation mapping between your defined requirement and stock matching scenarios. If you have defined them and maybe have not updated them you will need to likely regenerate the rules and update the database for it allow you to assign your batch. Please check your segmentation rules in Transaction SGT_DISPLAY_RULES and adjust accordingly using SGT_SETUP and run SGT_GENERATE_RULES.
