Dear Experts,

We have requirement to change the UI when creating a supplier master data Screenshot 2025-01-17 134831.png

We want to remove business partner field because we are using internal numbering. But we unable to delete the field , we only can delete the column. Is there any work around so we can delete only the business partner field?

Thank You!

Hello dear user,

In SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, standard fields like the Business Partner field are often part of the delivered UI and cannot be deleted entirely. If you're using internal numbering and don't want the Business Partner field to appear in certain contexts, here are a few workarounds :

1. Hide the Field Using Adapt UI (Key User Extensibility)

If you're working with an SAP Fiori app, you can try:

Clicking on your profile icon and selecting Adapt UI (if you have the necessary authorization).

Selecting the Business Partner field and marking it as Hidden.

Saving the adaptation for all users.

2. Use the Custom Fields and Logic App

Go to Custom Fields and Logic app.

Look for the Business Partner field and check if it can be disabled or hidden at the UI level.

3. Create a Custom CDS View Without the Field

If you're dealing with reports or analytics:

Create a Custom CDS View (using the "Custom CDS Views" app) based on the standard data source but without the Business Partner field.

Use this custom view instead of the standard one in reports.

4. Restrict Business Partner Field via Personalization

If users have the option to personalize their screens, they can remove the column at an individual level, though this does not remove the field from backend data structures.

Since you mentioned you can delete the column but not the field itself, SAP might not allow full removal due to standard dependencies. If none of these options work, you may need to check with SAP support for additional guidance.

I hope those answer’s elements will help you find a solution to your issue.

Best regards,

Jeremy
