Change the Functional Location of Equipment within the Same Maintenance Plant

Hello Gurus,

In the EAM module, if I change the functional location and move it to another maintenance plant, it will clears fields that related to maintenance plant, company code, and possibly controlling area.

How about changing the functional location within the same maintenance plant? Will it result in any changes or any issues?

Hello @kaya-ya,

If you are removing a functional location and attaching it to another FLOC then data gets copied from the new superior FLOC. While shifting an equipment from one FLOC to another we get the option to dismantle with data transfer.
