The change history records of GL account master data with regards to the column/field "Changed by" are different between the Q and P system.

Should it be that the change history in P system shows the person who maintained it in Q system using app "Manage G/L Account Master Data"

There may not be any correlation between Q and P systems unless Q is copied from P for testing purpose.

If systems are different, different users might have maintained/changed GL accounts.

For all other configuration made in Q system, the information which user edited this entry is not visible in P system, it is only visible in Q.

For G/L account master data, the situation is identically: The user who created/changed it in Q can only be seen in Q.

The user that processed synchronize app, who therefore takes over the responsibility to “activate” the G/L account in P, is visible in P.

For security reasons you should not be able to see the changes in another system. Check the system in which change is made.

Note also If a G/L account is created in the Q system and the change is moved manually to the P system using the Synchronize G/L Account Master Data app, the value in “Created By” field will be the user ID of the user that runs the synchronization with that app in the P system.

- The "normal" user CANNOT check the system in which the change was made as they don't have access

- Since GL is always maintained in Q, the "changed by" user in P must be identical.

- Why would the synchronization user be the one who created the account? That doesn't make any sense

Hi Cora

1. Not every user has access to Q system

2. If a user in P system sees a changed entry: "Changed by user ABC" -> who will they call? User ABC (or user XYZ from Q system)? I think you see that user ABC will get all the phone calls and questions, "why did you change this"....?

3. If change log for transported objects are only true in Q system, SAP should not even display any user specific change attributes.

What's SAP's thoughts here?

The change log shows what happened in that system where you’re logged in. If someone want to see what happened in Q system, she/he has to log on there. – check quality system for changes
