change cost center of an Asset without creating a new asset

Hi

I have an requirement, where i need to change the cost center to another cost center, If we do this in ABUMN, a new asset is created, but we want that same asset number to continue.

How can i change a a cost center of an asset without creating a new asset.

Please Help

There are 2 options

Change the cos centre

Create a new time interval.

When you make changes it will not change old values!

Hi, you can do it via AS02, but if there is no check box for 'Used in Balance Sheet' here IMG-Financial Accounting (New)-Asset Accounting-Integration with the General Ledger-Additional Account Assignment Objects-Activate Account Assignment Objects. If it is set, then tick off, check and tick on

You can change cost centre directly in asset master via AS02.
