CG42 - Error while previewing report template (IDES)

Hi

I am getting error/information Showing 'cannot create value file'. when i am trying to generating preview of report template.

Check below points,

• Check your WWI server settings , check the RFC connection to WWI server

Check the configuration in below path -

SPRO > Environment, Health & Safety > Basic data and tools > Tools > Document Storage > EH&S Archive link > Assign EH&S documents types to Data carriers.

Here, if you find the data carrier other than "SAP-SYSTEM", for any of the documents especially - DBE, DBV, SBE, SBR, SBV, etc.,

as you told that it is IDES connection there might possibilities that error having due to various reasons, try to create a new template and check.

Thanks Sathya for your help, I checked the configuration part of data carrier and found all documents is assigned to 'SAP-SYSTEM'.

Now showing the following error log,

You can preview your reports while working on them in the template editor. You can preview them in their original report format, or choose an alternative. Preview mode applies report, object, and user filters.

Hello Sreekanth ,

As I told you before , try to create a new blank template and check if you are facing the same issue then you are WWI files in local PC got corrected , try to reinstall SAP gui again this will resolve issue. In IDES all the set up might not be correct .

I could see SEM_WWIRFCSV in the error , not sure it pointing towards RFC connections , check that as well.
