Hello,

We'd like to get more precise details for our analytics and would like to run the revenue recognition job we're doing at month end, daily. The one problem we've encountered is that we'd like the date of the run to be the posting date and the job seems to default the posting date to the end of the month not matter what we do.

How can we modify this behavior to make the run date be the posting date with the exception of the last run which happens on the first day of the next month?

My understanding is that we're unable to use a substitution rule to change the posting date, is that accurate?

Hi @RyanMuller,

thank you for the question. As you are referring to analytics you can use the information of the Journal Entry Date, which is the date when the job ran. The adaption of the posting date is currently not possible.

Thanks for your response David. So there is no way to modify posting date for this job or in general? It impacts our DSO calculations and audit as well.

Referring to the job, in other areas it is possible to modify the posting date, e.g. posting of customer invoices.
