Which configuration activity or app do I use in which system and in which role?
As a configuration expert, you can use the configuration activity Define Financial Statement Versions in Global Hierarchies or Define Financial Statement Versions to create or change FSVs. In addition, G/L accountants with specific authorizations can also maintain FSVs in the Manage Global Hierarchies app or Manage Financial Statement Versions app. For the required authorizations, see Define Financial Statement Versions in Global Hierarchies and Define Financial Statement Versions (Classic App).
....
Can I change or create FSV in a production system?
You can only create or change FSVs in the system used for configuration and then transport the changes to the production system. You can also download the FSVs from the configuration system and upload them to the production system using the Synchronize G/L Account Master Data app, which does not require a transport. For more information, see Synchronize G/L Account Master Data (Two-System Landscape).
