Cannot use the old serial number for disassembly process- S4HC Public Manufacturing

Hi,

Production order without header material created for disassembly process and components and operations are assigned to it.
At the time of goods issue of components with MVT 531, system does not accept to put the consumed serial number (MIGO screen).

The business case is, at the time of disassembly of a machine, it will turn into it's components and those components will be added in the stock with old serial number not a new one.

So how to solve it?

Hi Amin,

The preferred way to retrieve consumed material serial number already posted to production order, would be to reverse the original goods movement through which the consumption was posted.

I'm afraid it's not possible because client needs to consider the disassembly process and because this materials would be defined as equipments too, we are planning to even set a custom status for the equipment (serial number of equipment and consumed material are same).

It means we have to somehow do the assembly process in the system.
