Cannot set Location to Obsolete after having logistics areas

Hello SAP Experts,

May I know if is it possible to have a Location in the Supply Chain Design Master Data set to Obsolete even if I have already set Obsolete to all logistics areas under that location?

Because I always an error and a warning below:

This is to be able to clear the ununsed locations, and hopefully also not show in the Access Rights restrictions in the Business Users.

I have temporarily set this as Blocked as per KBA note 2604327 - Cannot Set a Location as Obsolete (sap.com)

But what would be a workaround to achieve this?

Dear Alain,

Unfortunately, there is no other workaround than to block this location as mentioned.

Once the Org structure/ unit is activated, the system creates the corresponding location and creates the link between the business residence and the location. It's not possible to obsolete the location anymore.
