Cannot confirm deployment of Scope and Organizational Structure – system in maintenance?

Hi everyone,

We are currently working on a S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition implementation (release 2502), and we are at the step “Deploy Scope and Organizational Structure” in the SAP Central Business Configuration (CBC).

However, when clicking the Deploy button, we receive this message:

“You cannot confirm the deployment of your scope and organizational structure. The system is currently in maintenance. Please try to deploy later.”

We have already completed the previous step “Assign Deployment Target” successfully.

Has anyone experienced this issue before?

How long does the maintenance status usually last, and is there any place where we can check the current system status before retrying?

Hello @oquijano0327 ,

This is a known situation, especially when SAP systems are undergoing scheduled maintenance or internal housekeeping activities.

Refer below SAP notes.

KBA 3590816 - Unable to edit organizational structure due to ongoing lifecycle operation”
KBA 3575438 - Deploy Scope and Organizational Structure” step; status remains “In Progress
KBA 3277218 - Your workspace content version is higher than the target system software version. Deployment is not possible.

If its still blocked due to extended maintenance, open an SAP incident referencing component X4-CBC-ORG.
