Cancellation of production order- Posting date error

Hello Experts,

The start date and end date of production order is 27-11 to 02-12, 2019.

Now when I am cancelling the order via CO13, it throws an error Posting period 002 2019 is locked (check posting date).

Now I do not want to open the period.

Kindly suggest the standard procedure to cancel the prod order. (For eg Cancel the doc posted, date of posting, etc)

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

Implement SAP note 2463866 - Cancel: Posting date when FI period is blocked

After you implement the corrections, you can define whether the system should check for open CO period and for open FI period for the posting date of the confirmation to be reversed. If at least one of these periods is closed, the system issues system message RU 428 and you can change the posting date.

Thanks for the reply.

I checked the note and it is with status 'cannot be implemented'.

Also , I believe this note is related FI and might not help to resolve the issue.

Is there any other workaround/suggestion..other than opening period/cancelling Mat docs. etc.

Thank you.

Hello,

If note is implemented then you should be able to cancel the confirmation by changing the posting date to todays date in CO13.

Hi Former Member

If u have not confirmed your production order, then go to CO02,at the top click on

Functions>Deletion flag>activate & save

Actually it wont get such error related to Posting Period, guess some Extra Configuration done 😉

If confirmed then Try to cancel the Material document by giving current posting period or in MB31 do movement type 102 for that Production order and then in CO02 Delete Order

Thanks for the reply.

Prod order is already CNF. I am trying to do MB31 102, but getting an error 'Material document cannot be processed'.

Also let me know if this option is feasible considering impact in live system.

Thank you.
