Hi Experts,

With the mandate to migrate from SWIFT to ISO 20022 by 2026.

We have a project going on for one of our Japanese clients to migrate a manual process of banking to complete automation by developing PAIN.001.001.003 format for credit payments as suggested by the local bank here.

Now, Pain.001 is widely used for SEPA payments, but can we use the same format for non-EU countries for both local and overseas payments.

If we can, then what additional changes are required for doing this.

Hello Pratik,

As per my knowledge you can do this only if the bank will accept this file format/structure. If the bank does, then they can also provide you the detailed requirements.

Hello Henk,

yes! We got the confirmation from bank, for the use of Pain.001.001.03 formats for both domestic and foreign remittances. I guess the same should be acceptable and we just have to design the structure as per the there requirement.

I will check the requirement specific format and will write back if any doubts.

Regards,

Pratik
