Hi All
Is there any way in standard to change the material availability date in past ( where stock is available in MMBE) in SAP sales order.
Please suggest .. I tried but failed to change the material availability date.

Hi,
the material availability date (MBDAT) reflect the point in time when someone can go to the shelf and pick the good. What is your use case to put MBDAT in the past? Can you explain a little further?
Pradeep provided some guidance for Private Cloud/On Premise. For Public Cloud it looks different. Here you can use the pre-delivered ATP Checking Group 'NC' to not have an ATP check and hence you can set the MBDAT on your own.

Yes, It is possible to achieve.
In general Material availability can't set with past date but by some customisation you can done this, follow the below
First, you need to set "No availability check - KP" in material master plant data view.
Then In SPRO->Logistics Execution->Shipping->Basic shipping->Scheduling->Delivery scheduling and transportation scheduling->Define scheduling by sales document type.
Where you need to check the "Backward" schedule for the particular sales document type.
After that you can create sales order with past date in your material availability field in scheduling line.
Once you can set the past date in material availability then loading date, transportation date, GI date can be set with past date.

Pradeep

Hi 'SAP learner',
When we talk about Material Availability Date (MBDAT), we talk also about scheduling. Once you entered a requested delivery date for the schedule line, the scheduling calculated multiple dates, also the MBDAT.
From what I understand, you have stock physical available in the warehouse and you would like to get it confirmed today. My first question would be: Do you use ATP to get reliable confirmations? If the answer is yes, that it can indeed be that although you have stock physical available, you do not get a confirmation for today (MBDAT = today). Reason is simply, that you have promised the material already for a concurrent demand. ATP helps you to prevent over confirmation situations.
To see what you have really available, please use the app Monitor Product Availability (co09).
Can you please spend some words on how the situation is in your system, to be more precise, how it is with the material? Do you use ATP?

Andreas

Hi 'SAPlearner',
Again, I do not understand why you want to put a MBDAT that is in past. We have today 26th April. If you have a MBDAT today, that means you have x pieces that are available today, hence a person can go to the shelf and take those x pieces for further logistic processes. What is the meaning to put MBDAT to lets say 20th April? This date is in past, you cannot travel into past and do the logistical steps?
What do you want to achieve from business perspective?
Regards,
Andreas
