Can we add any customized movement against production order during production order confirmation

Scenario:

Our BOM ratio is 1: 2 means for 1 no of FG production 2 nos of Component is required. but while doing actual manufacturing sometime 3 or 4 componenets are required because of quality of component. so our client requirement is that during production confirmation, they input the extra quantity, therefore to track the record of extra quantity they require some other movement for consumption of the extra quantity. so can we use any other movement rather than 261 to consume the material through prodution order at the time of production confirmation.

Normally, we can use the planned goods issue and unplanned goods issue to distinguish the case you mentioned.

Planned and unplanned goods issues are two different types of material withdrawals in SAP:

  1. Planned Goods Issue:

    • References a reservation or production order.
    • System automatically creates a reservation for components planned in the order
    • When posting the goods issue, you can reference the order or reservation
    • The system determines all components to be withdrawn based on the reservation
  2. Unplanned Goods Issue:

    • Used when additional material or quantity is required during production that was not originally planned.
    • No existing reservation to reference
    • Posted as a goods issue without reference
    • Can be used for various reasons like:
      • Withdrawal for cost center or project
      • Sample taking for quality inspection
      • Scrapping material
      • Unexpected material provision for production
    •
    •
    • In material document checking you can find the difference.
