Can the Migration Cockpit be used for daily data update?

Dear SAP experts,

I would like to ask below a few questions about the Migration Cockpit!

First, we have a requirement of uploading and updating FI-AA and FI-GL in a daily basis. Based on our requirements:

• Does SAP recommend using the Migration Cockpit for daily business?

As we received some feedback that with a little customization, the Migration cockpit can be used for daily businesses.

Additionally, as of now, in our system, the Migration Cockpit has only one Migration Object called "Fixed asset (incl, balances and transactions)" for asset related data migration.

We've received the information that implementing the SAP Notes 2537549 and 3364019 would make more Migration Objects available for assets, but when we tried to implement them, we got the error "Cannot be implemented". Could you then explain:

• Why these SAP Notes can't be implemented? and
• If there are any other asset related Migration Objects available?

Dear experts,

First, I'd like to explain that:

• As per the KBAs 2684818 and 2650201, the Migration Cockpit is built to initially migrate data, not update it, specially daily.

In regards to your second question, I've checked both SAP Notes mentioned and they are both FAQs or lists with no code corrections, and:

• SAP Notes that are FAQs or lists with no code corrections to be applied can't be implemented in the system.

Last, you can always check the Migration Cockpit's official documentation to search for the available Migration Objects in your current system release:

For instance, by searching "asset" in the Help Portal page above, it's possible to find other asset related Migration Objects available for the Migration Cockpit.

As a complement to the answer above, I'd also like to emphasize the alternatives for not being able to use the Migration Cockpit daily for business data updates:

• (KBA 2684818) You should use the provided interfaces or mass processing apps of the business object application area instead. For more information about maintenance apps, check the SAP Fiori Library.
• (KBA 2650201) To update and change an existing record, a mass maintenance and/or processing app available for the Migration Object must be used. This is the standard behavior.
