Can the IBP ERP Integration Add-On be used with HCI?

The IBP ERP integration add-on consists of two software components: IBPIFND (SCM IBP integration foundation) and IBPIECC (SCM IBP integration for ECC). This add-on references using SDI to transfer data to IBP, but makes no reference to HCI.
This add-on appears to capture a great deal of master and transactional data into tables, that are then transmitted to IBP using SDI.

Can this add-on be utilized to capture the data, but use HCI to transmit the data to IBP?

Currently, the ERP integration add-on supports only SDI. If you think this would be a valuable enhancement, feel free to suggest it on the Influence Portal: influence.sap.com/IBP

We are working on setting up IBP, with all data sourced from an ECC suite on HANA system. We were told by SAP that HCI should be used to transfer the data. Looking at the various data objects required, there are many with no standard extractor or template within HCI. For example, Production Source Header, Production Source Item, and Production Source Resource.

If there is no standard template in HCI, no standard extractor, and we are not using APO, what method should we be utilizing to get this data out of our ECC system and into IBP? Were we incorrectly told that HCI was the best method?
