Can I add a column to the MAT0M search help?

We would like to add a column (LVORM) to the MAT0M search help. We already added the column to the corresponding view (M_MAT1M).

Is this possible?

Hi Luis,

instead of modifying the Elementary Search Help MAT0M I would recommend to extend the Collective Search Help MAT1_A with an Append Search Help. This can be done in the customer namespace and there will be no problems with the next SAP update.

Yes, you can do that. You need to add LVORM to the MAT0M parameters:

However bear in mind that it is a change to SAP standard. Unlikely as it might seem, SAP might update the MAT0M search help and overwrite your modifications - see the answer from @tmt-cpro
