Can Fiori apps be used to process the shipment of batch-managed products?

Hi experts,

Currently, when processing the shipment of batch-managed products in the sales process, we can only use VL01N, as the Fiori shipping app displays an error message preventing its use. I would like to ask why the Fiori app cannot support this functionality and is there a solution to this?

The issue you are facing with the Fiori App F0869A when handling batch-managed products in the sales process could be related to the configuration settings for batch determination, 3240238 - Error VL218 during batch determination in outbound delivery which are not set up correctly. In order for the Fiori app to properly handle batch creation, specific settings need to be assigned and activated within the SAP S/4HANA Cloud system.

To resolve this:

1. Ensure Correct Configuration: Go to the SSCUI for Logistic configurations and ensure that a default delivery type and batch search procedure are correctly assigned. This involves customizing settings under Application Area: Logistics --> Sub Application Area: Batch Management --> Item: Batch Determination for Sales and Distribution.

2. Activate batch Search Procedure: If a delivery is used without reference to a sales order, you need to define a default order type for the delivery type and assign it to a batch search procedure.

3. Check for Custom Implementations: Sometimes, custom implementations using Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) may interfere with the standard functionality. Ensure that no restrictive custom logic is causing the error.

Taking these steps should help in resolving the error in the Fiori App F0869A, allowing Batch to be chosen without any issues.
