Dear Customer,

If you go to Customer Invoicing work center - Project Invoicing- Project Invoice Requests view - No records available.

Basically project invoicing is a process that allows you to invoice customers for project-based time and expenses or fixed-price services. You can only perform end-to-end project invoicing for customer projects since they are the only project types that are integrated with sales orders. You can check the activity type - 'Project Types' in Fine Tune activity to check which of your project types represent customer projects. 

--Cause--

Prerequisites
- A customer project has been created and released.
- Project type must be of type - Customer project with sales integration
- One or more sales orders for the same customer and within the same company have been created and released. All sales order items with project-based item types are assigned to project tasks of the customer project.

You can use Customer Project variant type for projects which you manage and execute for your customers. These projects must always be linked to or created from a corresponding sales order. The system handles project costs and revenues as Cost of Goods Sold and Sales Revenues. This integrates these projects into the standard sales scenario, which offers functions such as reporting by function of expense, profit analysis, and automatic revenue recognition.

When I checked in Project Management work center - Projects view - Customer project with sales integration - I do not see any projects integrated with sales order. 

--Solution--

In Business configuration work center - Implementation Projects - Edit Project Scope - Scoping - Select Project Management - Project Planning and Execution - I see Expense Recording is not selected. The Expense Recording business topic allows project team members to record miscellaneous and travel expenses. The project team member can then assign the expenses to either projects or cost centers. 

Then you need to create Project Type - Customer project with sales integration and make sure that, sales order is created with project assignment. 

Once these data is available, you can create project invoice requests for customer projects in which you invoice the customer for time and expenses spent on the project or for fixed price services.
