Business impact of deactivating 'LIS' during Brownfield S/4 2021

Hi All,

Would like to know what will be the impact of activating 'LIS 'structure which is one of the prerequisite for S/4 conversion.

we got error when we execute SL check during preconversion in SA38 "Late lock mode is active and LIS processing is active in mandt: 400 . Inconsistent system state for MM-IM in S/4HANA. Skip it now but you have to adjust your customizing after the migration! See SAP note 2319579"

We referred this note and in order to activate "Late-lock' strategy we need to de-activate LIS.

So I presume all structures SO* will not be contains data later,...??

Are there any alternate from SAP for LIS ..? alternate for LIS, which firoi apps will be equivant to MC.* report?

Also why we need to activate negative stock level? what if we didn't act?

Please help to share you inputs!!!
