Dear Gurus,

I have an issue where my user try to post debit and credit to the same GL but somehow only want the business area only for the debit side and left the credit side business area empty.

But somehow after post the business area are populated in the credit side too. May i know how i can control that the business area are not copy from the first line.

Regards,

Asraf

Hi Asraf,

If you are active document splitting and business area has selected one of the doc.splitting characteristic.  Then if you have not filled any BA, then system will inherit it in the blank posted line item.

Hi Mukhtar,

Thank You for your respond, actually we never activate new GL thus the doc. splitting characteristics never comes into consideration.

plus there's no cost centre involve just the a posting within same GL. Is this a standard SAP process?

Hi Asraf,

Then check any substitution defined in GGB1/OB28. And also check OKB9.

Hello Mohd,

In absence of New GL, please check OB65 if enabled business area balance sheet then system by default take BA from offsetting entry.

Hi Mukhtar,

i have checked the substitution rule in GGB1and OB28. i can see there's no substitution related to this.

Is this is possible due to SAP standard.
