Bundling Sales Items together for a special price

I am struggling to create a BOM that allows me to load Sales of items bundled together for a special.

If I setup a BOM with the child items and load into a Quote, I want the child items all to show up as parts of the BOM on the quote but with no pricing displayed. The Bundle part code should reflect the price for the items in the bundle.

The issue for me is the above setup can be done using both a Sales BOM and a Template BOM however the  GP values are all wrong behind the scenes. We currently run a Template BOM, and have Item codes from various Item Groups making up the bundle. The GP on the child item codes comes through as a negative on all the items as there is no Sales numbers associated to these line items(only the parent Item Code), but the main Bundle Item code gets a GP number of 100% since there is no cost associated to that item code.

I need this system to allocate an amound of the total Bundle Sale to each line item in the BOM so we can measure the GP for each product.

I have a workaround about to be implemented, whereby I load a BOM with no Price, the child items load into the system with a sales price. Our Team then manipulates the price manually according to the split of the Sale number we want against each line item, we then add a Sub Total line below the Special to give it a Value.

We then have a user defined field in place to hide the Values of the Child items on the Crystal report Template so that when we print a Quote/SO or INV we don't see the individual prices of the line items, just a bundle price for all the products in the Special on teh Sub Total line.

If there is a better way of handling this so SAP automatically loads the line items without our team needing to think... then please send any suggestions. 

Remember, I need to see the GP of each item correctly so when I run reports, we can see how much money we making per item.
