Hello SAP Community,
We are using SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition and have enabled budget availability control for cost centers. and are wondering if there is any way to set up budget threshold alerting for cost center budgets.
Specifically, we would like to send an email to the cost center responsible (as assigned in the cost center master data) when the budget threshold is nearing 75%, so they do not have to regularly check the Cost Center Budget Report (F3871).
I know that with project budgets, this can be easily done using a predefined situation handling template (EPPM_PROJBUDGETTHRESHOLDEXCEEDED). However, I couldn't find anything similar for cost centers. Does anyone know how this can be achieved with reasonable effort?
Thank you for your help!
Best regards,
Simon

Hi @Simon__R,
I would suggest reading through our blog post series How Developer Extensibility lets you create your own Situation Handling Use Case, which focuses specifically on the example of a cost center budget threshold being exceeded 🙂
Kind regards, Ana
