Our Finance needs to have some sort of budget checks for production orders. The purpose is to have an automatic blocking feature to block material requistion or issue once the budget for that production order is reached. Is this possible? How do I configure the production order to have this feature.?

Dear,
As I know it is not possible in standard SAP.
You can have release control to your PR and PO.

Dear Ling,
It is possible by using Funds Management and have been implemented for one of my client. It is a niche area.

Hi Ling,
You can budget for production order by assigning it to a WBS element as an account assignment.
WBS that you are going to assign should be marked as account assignment element because such WBS elements are where you want to post actual costs. You can then using Budgetting for these WBS elements and subsequently can assign availability control .
