Budget Blocking in Not Possible from IW31Maintenance Order

Hi All,

I have an Issue Availability Control on Budget of WBS element.

I have WBS element with Budget 100000 GBP and till now we have spended 79,273 and the Remaining
Budget is 20,727 GBP and my tolerance limit is set as Error message when it is 100%

Now, i am trying to create the Maintenance Order with Stock Material which has a Price of 20,727 GBP

here the budget is reached to 100%, then System should give an error message as Budget is Exceeded, but is allowing to the Maintenance Order,

Could you please me to block the work order when budget is exceeded even for Stock Materials which creates reservation from Maintenance Order.

Hi Rajesh,

I am assuming that you have already linked the PM order to WBS element.

Check the budget profile / tolerence limits assigned to WBS element. Is it in error mode for all transaction types? as listed below..

++     All activity groups

00     Purchase requisition

01     Purchase order

02     Orders for project

03     Goods issue

04     Financial accounting document

05     CO document

06     Budgeting

07     Funds reservation

08     Fixed prices in project

09     Payroll

2. Are you just creating reservations on PM order? As accounting documents are posted only when Reservations are issued (actual cost gets posted) you will get error at that point.

Yes, i'm just creating the reservatino on Work order at that time only the budget check need to trigger

if budget exceeds then system should give error message based on Tolerance limit.

Have you tried to put one GBP more and check the Budget check, whether it is working.

I tried 1GBP and more than that it will allow, because i said i have remaining available budget on WBS is 20,727 GBP, so it will allow till 20,726 GBP.

Goto CJ31 > Display original budget > Extras > Availability Control > Analysis > check the assigned values. System uses this value to for availability control

Try reconstruction of WBS using CJEN, CJBN in sequence.

Also a basic question. How did you link the PM order with WBS element. Are you using ADPMPS or directly entering WBS element in Additional Data tab using IW32.

Can you post 20,728 and check whether the Budget gives the error message ?

In SPRO -  Project System - Cost - Budget - Define Tolerance limits

1. Controlling Area

2. Budget Profile

3. Target Group if you are using ++ All activity groups try to change and use for each activity like PR / PO / Orders for project etc.

4. Action - 3 (Error)

5. Usage - 100%

6. Abs Variance - If required

7. Currency.

Then test your system, whether you get the error message.
