BOM triggering

Hi all,

I want to create a BOM for a semi finished material "A"---01nos

for which the following are the components assigned to BOM

raw materail X- 10nos.

raw material Y- 20nos.

While creating BOM ,have to select " Make to Stock" and select discreete manufacturing.....

So, whenever i want to produce a semi finished material "A"-01nos, i want to explode or trigger the bom in which the raw material X-10nos, raw material Y-20nos. has to be consumed, is it possible to explode or trigger the BOM with out running any MRP ?,,,

plz help me out,,, its urgent,

Yes, this is possible. You maintain BOM from CS01 for the part A. Now you dont want to run MRP.

Create manual production order from CO01 transaction. In customizing OPPQ under BOM explosion define "explode BOM at order creation". By doing this BOM will be checked and exploded and quantities of components will be copied as per header material qauntity.
