BOM change after Purchase order creation

Dear all

My client requirement is an error message should appear when the end users are trying to change the BOM after the purchase order creation for the BOM items and the system should allow the BOM change only after the PO cancellation.

Please throw some light

Hi kumar,

In this case, you need to check whether there is any user exit for the tcode CS02 and CS01, such that whenever the user enters the plant and material, the system has to check whether any open PO`s exist for the material and plant combination and restict the transaction if any open PO`s exist.

Find out the user exits or any BADIs with your technical consultant.

Reward if cleared and close the thread.

Hi ,

Here in this case ECM functionality will help .

We need to create a change no first , to make any change in the BOM aws in material master.

I suggest please go through some SAP Note .

Dear,

Your requirement cannot be met in STD SAP. Possible round about solution is,

Use ECR, with release function. Here you can link release authorization to one who is having the idea of PO creation ect. Once he checks in the system, then he can release the BOM changed which is captured in ECR, so that BOM will be eeefective in MRP and production order

Do you mean to say user's should not be allowed to change hte BOM items in a purchase order?or should not be allowed to change a

BOM,if there are some purchase orders for the same material?

If your requirement is to restrict the BOM change of a material using T code CS02,after purchase order creation,I dont think its

possible.

Please explain your problem little more in detail.

Hi

1.You can restrict this in PO change mode level, components change in the PO material tab can be restricted once if the PO is created..Configure the PO change mode screen/field settings accordingly

or

2.It seems that you have to restrict the BOM Change mode access to your users , But in this case it cannot be directly linked to PO creation or deletion

The end user should not change the BOM for the items for which PO is created.If this is not possible in the std SAP please let me know any user exits.

Please how to change BOM in compnent in Purchase order, because i changed the BOM after creation of PO, and the Po does not been refreshed with new values of comnent quantities
