Hello,
We need to block material to be saved on SO item created manually by the user.
However, when this material is a part of sales BOM, the system should not block SO processing.
I look for something more robust than a warning message (due to overall material block) every time this material is picked up, whether by the user or by the system.
We sell "father" KMATs which in some cases call in "sons" KMATs (we call them sub-KMATS) into dependent SO items (sales BOM after configuration).
We need the to prohibit the users from entering those sub-KMATS directly, and even worse, try to configure them.
Can you suggest me something?
Andrew

Not sure, how do you differentiate between these two in your system. May be, with that, you can create a variable in TVARVC table and with that, apply the required logic without hard-coding. With this practice, later on, if there is a change in Business requirement, no need of taking ABAP help. Just the users can do on their own by deleting or modifying the TVARVC entries
