BKPF-BLDAT = BKPF-BUDAT when reversing a Billing Document with VF02 or VF11

Hello,
Is there a way that I can force Document Date to take Posting Date when I cancel a document with VF02 or VF11?
I took a look at the SAP Note 1498348 but it is not feasible because we can't deactivate the new cancelling procedure.
Any advice will be helpful.

In the note which you mentioned SAP states that deactivating the new cancellation procedure is the only option to achieve what you ask.

In this specific case I am not sure what kind of advice you seek, it is a matter of deciding what is more important - keeping the new cancellation procedure or fulfilling this specific business request. Of course, if this to comply with legal requirements, you do not have much of a choice. If this is just because somebody wants to have a certain feature - you explain to the requestor the consequences of switching to the old cancellation procedure and let them decide.
