Hello,
we have a virtual SAP-B1 Server which needs to be setup again, cause of performance-problems and OS-Support
Now the B1 Server OS is 2008 R2, we will switch to 2016, we will keep SAP-B1 Patchlevel and Addon-Versions.
We have the test-licence-File and now i try to connect to the new ready installed server.
I have changed the IP-Adress in
C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One\Conf\B1-local-machine.xml
and
C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One DI API\Conf\B1-local-machine.xml
There is no connection.
We do not want to reinstall each Client-setup + addons again.
Is there something I need to setup/change to reach the new server ?
Thanks for your help
Greetings
Markus

Hello,
Try to manually map the new service ip in the host file of the SAP client, the host file is under
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts and see if the client is able to connect.
If this works, inform your IT to do the dns mapping of the new server, so you need to tp manually update the hosts file for individual clients.
Thanks.
