Hi Experts.
I want to ask about the best practice of migrating journal entry to SAP S/4 HANA public cloud.
I'm know there are "Upload General Journal Entries" application, but as I glanced its template, I thought this needs a lot of manual work to fit data to the template.
Is "Upload General Journal Entries" application the only way to migrate journal entry?
Request clarification before answering.
Hello cct.yu.akiyama,
There are multiple ways to upload the journal entries, Upload of JV can happen at the time Go Live (Migration) and Upload of Journal during transaction posting.
01.During data cut over (project implementation) customer can use Migration template for GL: FI - G/L account balance and open/line item | SAP Help Portal
02. for transaction posting customer can use the APP: Upload General Journal Entries and API: Journal Entry - Post (Synchronous) | SAP Help Portal, generally API can be used for large volume of data.

Hi Yu,
I would like to add a few more things in addition to what Gnana shared.
The first thing is that you should think about the migration from a business perspective and link each one of the required object with the specific business object. Please find here the link to the Data Migration help:
Once you’re able to map each one of the objects then the customer has to prepare a strategy for each one of the objects. Please find here a links from Activate:
Please see the image showing the Fiori App and the Finance objects that you can review in detail to support your customer’s requirement.
I hope this helps.
