Batch Production Date as the Basic Start Date of a Production Order in SAP S/4HANA Public cloud

Hello,
I am currently working in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud and have a requirement related to batch production dates. Specifically, I need to configure the system so that the batch production date is automatically set to align with the basic start date of a production order.

This requirement arises because we often need to perform tasks like printing labels or documentation in advance of the goods receipt (GR). To achieve this, the production date must already be assigned to the batch before the GR step.

In previous on-premise setups, I was able to handle similar requirements, but I’m unsure how to achieve this in the public cloud environment.

Is there a standard way or workaround to set the production date in the batch earlier (e.g., at order creation or operation confirmation) in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud? Any insights on leveraging standard functionality, extensibility, or output management to handle this scenario would be appreciated.

Where do you maintain batch production date? Is it maintained in batch classification? What does this date represent? Like Is it a completion date with availability in stock of the batch planned to be produced and is assigned to production/ process order at the time of creation of the order?

Where do you maintain batch production date? Batch production date is maintained in the batch master record manually now because it needs to be choosen before production actually start. It is crucial for tasks like printing labels or documentation before the goods receipt (GR).

Is it maintained in batch classification? Yes, the batch production date is also maintained in the batch classification.

What does this date represent? The batch production date represents the date when the batch is produced.

Is it a completion date with availability in stock of the batch planned to be produced and is assigned to production/process order at the time of creation of the order? The batch production date is not necessarily the completion date. It is the date aligned with the basic start date of the production order and is assigned to the batch after order creation.
