Batch managing in SAP B1

Hello,

I have a BOM and its components are batch managed. The finished item is also a batch managed.

How can I manage the batch's transactions in easy way and assign batch of component to batch of finished item?

I have SAP B1 10. In Administration -> System Initialization -> General settings -> Inventory -> Management Method is "On every transaction"

I hope I was clear enough and I was able to explain the issue.

Hi, @Maya_Shiff: the raw material has it's own batch, like Axxx. The finished product gets it's own batch, like Bxxx. I want to register that for making batch Bxxx i've used batch Axxx of raw material.

Dear @Felipe_Lima, I have more questions regarding this issue: how can I get this "stock posting list by production order..."? I don't have this option.

I get only  "inventory posting list by production order", without any batches.

Hi @MarinaLevy ,

When on production order, you first need to issue the components. SAP will prompt the batch selection window.

Then, you receipt the final product. Here, you are creating the batch for the finished goods.

Finally, you can run a report to track the batches assigned to the Production Order

If you're not able to perform any of these steps, please provide details. I hope it helps.

Hi @Felipe_Lima. Unfortunately, I'm not getting the window with issue for production when I'm opening the production order. It exactly what i need, but I'm not getting this window...

Hi @MarinaLevy ,

Your production order must be released and you have to right-click and select "Issue Components". Report completion follows same steps.

Hi @MarinaLevy ,

You have to enable (mark as visible) the related columns at Form Settings when on the report.

If these are not appearing to you, it might be due to the SAP version. I'm using the latest one (2502).

Are you having any issues with assigning or tracking batches?

If both component and final product are controlling batch, you should be prompted to select which ones you are drawing from and creating in the warehouse, respectively.
