batch is not determined during replenishment TO from TR

Hi,

We are doing the replenishment from the reserve storage type to the pick face storage type.

batch determination has been set up at warehouse/movement type.The stock removal stratergy is FIFO for the reserve storage type

When I try to convert the replenishment TR to TO,I get a message 'enter batch',actually the batch has to be determined automatically.

Can you please help me in resolving this issue.

Dear Govindraj K

Quick way to check is during TO creation (LT04) screen (which shows src and dest data)

Analyse Under Environment>>Display Batch Determination,

check Strategy analysis and Log.Here system shows in details which batches considered , rejected and at what level.

If you are using characteristics , ensure to check selection criteria in same screen versus batch characteristics.

Under configuration,

Have you defined and assigned WM batch search procedure correctly ?

Check under SPRO >>Batch management >> Batch determination and check >> Batch search procedure definition

Check under SPRO >>Batch management >> Batch determination and check >> Batch search procedure allocation and check activation

Then ensure condition record is created in LS51 for defined strategy type under batch determination.

Additionally please check batches in MSC3N , whether they have been maintained with correct characteristics to fall within selection criteria if being used.

Thanks for your analysis

I had activated the batch search procedure, but did not maintain the Condition record in LS51,

now I maintained LS51.I checked MSC3N the batches have been maintained with correct chareacteristics.

Still the batch is not getting determined based on SLED,In the TO creation screen LT04 the tab

Environment>>Display Batch Determination is grade out and hence cannot see the log

Points I posted earlier were in the context of Non SLED batch environment.

As you mentioned that you have SLED Batch materials, then can you please check below additional points

Have you setup SLED in correctly already (Check Batch mgmt>>SLED in SPRO).

Do batches contain expiration date or not  ?

Do quants of those batches contain expiration date or not (LQUA-VFDAT)?

Min Shelf life and total shelf life have been maintained in Material plant /st data 1 view?

In your TR whether you have field VFDAT filled or not ? Though this is not a Must.

Did you activate SLED for whse in SPRO>>Stock removal strategies ?

Do you have defined and assigned sort sequence in batch search strategy in WM ?

Though SAP allows both FIFO and SLED stock removal strategy for SLED material , have you checked possibility of just SLED stock removal stategy(H) only ?

If you have already rejected this , what led you to reject it ?

Would need more details on SLED side from Material master and st type definition from system.

Finally , you may also refer note SAP Note 769036 (I would not directly suggest it without checking existing setup correctness and also due to symptom for this note being more generic ,I believe)

As system details are not explicitly available , it is bit difficult to pinpoint exact root cause and also applicability of this note.
