Batch derivation without specifying the component batch

Dear Experts,

Is it possible to perform batch derivation in a production order without specifying the component batches? We need to issue multiple batches to the order without specifying any particular batch, yet still derive a characteristic of the highest value from the batches issued.

Thanks, Raja, for the suggestion. I checked whether GR event might work, but it isn't unless we specify a batch in the production order. I will inform the client accordingly.

Hi Pradeep,

Without specifying the Batch Number (or) the Values, from where system can pick up the Value for the Receiver? In the Standard Derivation Strategy, you will link the Sender(s) with Receiver.
Without specifying the Sender, it looks bit of ambiguity, Please Check with Business again & understand the requirement more clearly ( if it is real Business requirement)

Hi Raja, is this an actual business requirement. If the standard approach is not an option, can we implement this functionality with code changes? We need the system to select batches from MVT type 261 at GR of production order if the batch at the component level is not maintained.

Yes, it is possible, to Derive the Value from the Multiple Inputs, & Select the Highest(or)Lowest value of the input Batches as per the Business requirement (Attached an Example of one such case, where there 3 Sender Materials, with different Inputs & System is picked only One Value)
