Basic salary is not part of the pay components: Message no. HRPADIN01135

Hi All,

Please excuse me if I am asking something very silly. I am very new to SAP HR. Here is the doubt:

In the Personnel Administration, under Basic Pay Infotype getting following warning:

Basic salary is not part of the pay components

Message no. HRPADIN01135

Any ideas, what step(s) I missed out? Btw, these things in place:

1. Custom Wage Types are created using Model Wage Types [MB10, MB20, MB30]

2. All three custom wage types are grouped under 'Basic Pay' Wage type Group.

3. Permissibility - Yes

4. Wage type characteristics - Correctly specified (INVAL A for Basic, INVAL B for Convey. and HRA)

5. PSG and ESG groupings are correctly specified and mapped.

6. Revise Pay Scale Groups and Levels are set to O - Editable.

7. Country Grouping is set to 40

Let me know if you need any other setting details to find out the cause of the problem?

Thanks

Yash

hi yash,

i m not sure if you are comfortable with any debugging...

incase you are, your job is totally done... just put a break point on the message statement n u wud come to know where the error is comming from.

incase this is not clear, ask a technical person to help you out.

Hi,

I think if it is showing only warning message no problem and click on enter, if you are getting problem like even you entered and wage types are not defaulted then go to table T539A table and T7INA9 table and maintain wage types that all automatically it will.

Best regards

The problem was that I could not maintain Basic Pay Infotype. I could surpass the warning by selecting the Subtype as "0-Basic Contract" for Basic Pay Infotype.

Appreciate everyone’s response!

Hi,

You have maintained the wage type config in PA - Basic Pay, apart from this u have to maintain Payscale groupings and RAPS in Payroll to avoid this warning mess....

Hi Ram, Vivek, Santosh

Thank you for your responses.

Ram: The problem was that I was not able to maintain Basic Pay Infotype. I could surpass the warning by selecting the Subtype as "0-Basic Contract" for Basic Pay Infotype.

Vivek: It will take me sometime to get to the level of debugging the programs. But I totally understood what you were saying as I have background in Programming.

Santosh: All PSG and ESG were configured, including RAPS and Statutory Benefits.

I could finally run the simulation payroll successfully. Thanks again!

Regards

Yash
