Based on my available Raw Material, I wish to know how much I can produce of my Finished Goods?

Hello all,

My client requested to know based on how much raw material I have in stock, how much can I produce of Finished Goods?

Let's say we have the following scenario:

The customer requested 100 Kg of Finished Goods A.
We go to check and we don't have enough Raw Material to produce 100 kG of Finished Goods A (I have 10 Kg of Raw Material and to produce 100 Kg of Finished Goods I need 20 kG)
I wish to know, based on my available Raw Material, how much can I produce of my Finished Goods A. (In the case of 20 kG of Raw Material, I can only produce 50 kG of Finished Goods).

Basically I need SAP to calculate and tell me how much Finished Goods I can produce based on my available Raw Material.

I understand this is something to be developed, can you please help me on the best way to approach this request to the ABAP?

Hi, have you tried with CS15 transaction?

Hello Pascual,

Yeah with that transaction I can enter my quantity and it lets me know how much I can produce of the FG.

But the user doesn't want to search one component by one. It should look at the available quantity and let the user know how much he can produce.

Is there a BAPI in CS15 the ABAP can use?

Check the Supply Based creation Based confirmation in Aatp.
This will satisfy your requirement, which will check the current Inventory stock of the raw material and do the confirmation.

The client doesn't have PP/DS, so I don't think this solution will help.
