The Indian government mandates that companies maintain a daily backup of their Books of accounts on servers located within India, even if the servers are located outside the country.
We understand that SAP has released KBA 3309423; however, it does not fully meet the legal requirements. I would like to inquire about the methods other companies in India are utilizing to ensure compliance.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Regards,
Razak.
Request clarification before answering.
What about ERP on premise systems hosted in Germany for example? Does the KBA 3309423 cover that too?

Hi Tarandeep Singh,
No, there was no clue on this requirement. We have also raised the influence request https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#/idea/302810 for the same its understood there has to be minimum 12 votes for SAP team to consider this.
Can you vote the same and also help in sharing.
Thanks & Regards,
Razak.
I have seen mostly tally as parallel software that supports daily backup.

Means Companies should have parallel system, which looks to be cost effective and tedious process.
Can you all SAP experts help in getting the vote for the Influence request which we have requested.

Hi Jain,
I appreciate your response. While I understand that SAP ByD supports the compliance requirement of audit trail,
the specific need here is for data backup on servers located in India. Since SAP ByD does not have servers in India, I'm curious to know how companies in India are ensuring compliance with this particular requirement.
