Dear Experts,
We are tasked with providing a solution for the printing and packaging industry, where Advanced Variant Configuration is being implemented. One of the main components in production is the paper reel. To optimize the utilization of paper reels, maximize production capacity, and reduce costs, the company produces multiple customer orders within a single production cycle.
In this process, all the BOM components for the multiple orders are issued collectively, and the finished goods are also received in one consolidated attempt.
To address this requirement, we have identified that combined orders or collective orders may be viable options within the SAP system. However, we seek to understand the feasibility and implementation possibilities of these options in the SAP Public Cloud environment. Additionally, we would like to know if there are any alternative approaches available to achieve this requirement.
Best regards,
Kaushika Nanayakkara

Dear @kaushikan ,
The combined order functionality (known from ECC DIMP-solution (=Discrete Industries and Mill Product)) is unfortunately not yet available in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud. However, having combined order functionalities is one of the highest voted customer influence request within public cloud manufacturing. Please see the link below and upvote it as well to follow the latest status. It has been accepted in the meantime, but time will tell in which release SAP will effectively incorporate this into public cloud. Unfortunately, I don't see it on the SAP roadmap explorer yet.

If you think collective orders could be a solution to your problem, then please find below link as this is already available at the moment:
Otherwise you will have to investigate a custom-built solution on BTP or a workaround until we will get combined orders functionality in public cloud.
Hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Jens
