Automatically assign approvals to work permit based on assigned certificates usages

Hello guys,

I'm working with SAP work permit management in SAP S/4HANA 1709.

I want to automatically add approvals to work permit and those approvals are based on the assigned certificates usages.

For example, when i assign an isolation certificate to a work permit, CONF1 approval will be added automatically to the permit..

Is there any standard solution/configuration for that

Hello Saif,

You can use the standard configuration for "Works" and "Requirement" - whereby you can make a certain approval (for ex: ISOLATION) to come up automatically when a specific work or requirement is checked.

you can add more controls by configuring a dependency between approval "Isolation" in Work permit and an approval step (for ex: CONFIRMED) in Isolation certificate - so that once CONFIRMED is issued in Isolation certificate, the "isolation" approval is automatically issued in work permit.

you can add further controls and automation by setting the relationship between a status and approval in the configuration - so that once you TAG the isolation certificate, the "Confirmed" approval is automatically issued in isolation certificate- which triggers automatic issue of "Isolation" approval in work permit.
