Authorizations – Restrictions for Production Orders Based on Master Data

Hello,

There is requirement to restrict the access to BOMs, planning of materials and production orders for a portion of the portfolio within one plant for users. System is S/4 HANA public cloud.

We manage to set up restriction for BOMs with field BEGRU_STLAN  and to planning data with PP_MRP_CTRLR  (except for MD04 tree for which we got answer that it is not possible to restrict order tree within one plant).

We can make additional restriction according to order type with field AUFART_WERKS  and we can only create or see only orders of designated type.

We can still go to Create production order (CO01) app and create orders for materials with different MRP controllers with this order type, so order type is nice to have, but not solution.

What is needed, is to restrict opening or changing production orders according to eg. Production supervisor (MARC-FEVOR)  or maybe MRP controller related to material… or by some field that can be read from material, production version etc.

Do you maybe have some suggestion for this matter?

Hi Kristina,

when I check the corresponding catalog (SAP_SCM_BC_PRODN_ORD_MPLN_MC) for the application create production order, I can see the following restriction types in write access:

Order Type/Plant , Class Type  and Order Release Activity. So unfortunately there is no further authorization check on write access in the create production order application.

Hi @kristina_vl,

Using Fiori app 'My Area of Responsibility - Production Supervisor', it is possible to restrict view/ change the production order from Fiori app 'Manage Production Order' at individual user level.

Hello,

Thank you for all informations, what is necessary is that users are not allowed to open or see orders for materials that dont belong to production department they are in, within same plant. We are using prod.suppervisor for Display a list of production order but CO01 remains a problem.

If I set restriction on order type I can open only orders of the type that I am alowed to open but I can still do so with materials that belong to other department and this way come to the recipies and BOMs of other departments.

I would also like to try to set up authorizations by Class type for orders ... I was looking in CBC and production orders and couldnt find how to do the set up.

Could you, please provide me some details how to make this classification of production orders in public cloud?
