Dear,
how do you model the transport lane to handle pickups for sales orders (EXW shipments that are picked up by a freight forwarder)?
The availability check looks at the ship-to address and calculates the transport lane based on that logic.
Example:
Sales order 100. Incoterms DAP. Requested Delivery date 10/03/2019. The normal transport time between ship-from and ship-to is 3 days.
The system will always calculate 07/03/2019 as ATP check date.
Sales order 101. Incoterms EXW. Requested Delivery date 10/03/2019. The normal transport time between ship-from and ship-to is 3 days.
The system will also calculate 07/03/2019 as ATP check date.
I understand it as the correct date, as it is still 3 days of transport to go to the ship-to. But, if the user wants to indicate that the material should be ready for pickup by freight forwarder (EXW) on 10/03/2019, the ATP check date should be 10/03/2019.
How to read this? How does the system take into account the EXW incoterm?
How to achieve this in SAP BYD?
Thank you,
KR,
Steve
