Hi
I am wondering if there are any possibilities with any of the 2-tier scenarios to activate some kind of ATP check in the intercompany processes?
My understanding is that it is more of a classic Third Party Drop Shipment process that is available when we deal with intercompany sales processes.
Is there any way of getting an ATP check made when the selling entity creates the sales order as described in the 2-tier process "Subsidiary as Sales Office"?
Thanks

Hi Hald,
Thanks for raising this requirement.
Though this is a valid requirement, there are few constraints to include ATP check across multiple systems which explained through below example:
Assuming that you have you have ATP check across systems and you would be doing the drop shipment process from your subsidiary (Tier 2) where you does not manage the stock. Customer places an order on Tier 2 and as a first step you will check whether the stock is available at your HQ (Tier 1). And through ATP check you will get the info on the inventory availability on which you can make a decision. However this inventory is not committed to the customer from Tier 1 as there is no underlying sales document exists (when you are doing ATP check). This will have a huge impact on fulfillment promise if the stock is not available on the expected date.
Hence the recommended approach is to go with creating Third Party SO at Tier 2 and sending the PO to Tier 1. And SO will get created at Tier 1 which will give you a commitment on the stock availability on the expected date of delivery. You can find this process published in: https://rapid.sap.com/bp/#/browse/categories/sap_s%254hana/areas/cloud/packageversions/BP_CLD_ENTPR/...
Happy to support you if you need more info.
However you can still explore the API's available on Availability Check in API Hub if you would like to proceed with the requirement.
