Hi Shayam,

Yes, We can assign the combination of Material Type and Plant.

Go to the T.Code: KEPC and then select the Step1 (Assignment Rule) Assignment to material type level / plant level, and Click on the Details.

Here you need to mention the the Point of Valuation, Record type, Material type, Plant = Costing Key.

Hope this can solve your problem.

Please let me know if any further information required.

Srinu,

These are the stuff what they already have. He wrote it down. Besides, plant/material type combination is a standard stuff in KEPC (provided with the IDES database).

What they really need is an additional char which is order type.

Order type is not a standard characteristic so we have to create first then make it work in KEDR and then use it in KEPC.

Thanks for your reply,

As you have suggested, i have created on characterstic for Oder Type. But i am not able to assign in KEDR , i link it to usertemp5 field and when i used that field in KEPC in assignment it is not shwwing any value.

Kindly suggest how to configure KEDR and KEPC for order type.

You did a table lookup in KEDR? From Origin table = AUFK and Origin Field = AUART into your new characteristic?

OK, from the beginning:

[1] KEA5 - Create Char as user defined without value maintenance.

[2] KEA0:

  • Switch to change mode clicking on the glass/pencil icon.
  • In trhe Data Structure section, click on the Change icon.
  • Transfer you Char from right to left.
  • Activate the stuff clicking on the matchstick icon (2nd from left)
  • Click on the go-back icon (the green one with the white left arrow)
  • System will ask you to generate the environment. Yes. If it is not complete, go to the Environment tab and click on the Status icon on the Cross-client part tab

[3] KEDR. Create a derivation using table lookup. Use table AUFK and field AUART and match it with your new Char. You can set up some conditions on the second tab.

[4] KEPC. In your existing derivation pull out your new Chart.

I think it should work.

Did you try to create first the characteristic "order type", then assign it in KEPC?

Thanks for Reply

Which characteristic you are talking about. in KEPC ther is no characteristic and values.

In KEPC there is only target and source field.

Kindly correct me if i am wrong
