Asset has an extra field of expired useful life in periods. How to edit that?

Dear Gurus,

We have found a problem :

Our company's all assets' depreciation area are showing an extra field of expired useful life in periods which cannot be edited. How can we delete or edit this field?

I will be grateful and will highly appreciate your help.

Hi Rahman,

Go to AO21 and change the field status as optional for the field expired useful life for the screen layout of depreciation area or you can go directly from the asset master data by selecting Environment - screen layout - depreciation areas, then click on change button and change the field status.

Many many thanks for your reply Mr. Ali. Previously useful life was set to no. After changing it to optional, we became able to change that field.
