asset book value is not coming current year

Dear Friends

asset value is not coming in aw01n and ar01 for current year, that asset purchased two years back

last year working perfectly and depreciation also run last year

please suggest me

i run AFAB already and above all the things but value is not coming to current year

but once i ran afab, asset master AS02  dep key  Exp UL and Prd are blank ( key is straight line method)

am waiting for valuable suggestion

Hi Jai,

Please check if the Asset has already been retired/deactivated. You can check the deactivation date in asset master general tab (AS03).

If it is not authorization issue,you can run AFAR with selection of asset number.

Did you made year end closing operations for assets ? ajrw and ajab t-codes,

or do you have autohorizations for periods at transactions TPC2, TPC4 ,TPC6 as the snote said

you need to open the new fiscal year ajrw

later when you finish the accounting for the last fiscal year you can close it

Hi Jai,

run AJRW (which carries forward the asset values from the previous year to the current year) again in Testmode and check the error log. Maybe that this asset is not carried forward due to an error.

Hi Jai kumar,

Check whether 100% depreciation is been posted already or check whether asset sale or retirement by scrapping or deactivation has been done.

If nothing mentioned above has happened then attach screenshot of AS03 with General tab as well as Depreciation area tab and AW01N screen last year and this year.

You are saying that you are not able to see the value for an asset acquired in current year? If yes, is the acquisition for the asset already posted. If yes, are you looking at the correct year in AW01n??

I have the same problem with S4, in that the depreciation was posted two years ago, but it was not transferred from the book value from 2021 to 2022.
