Asset Accounting - "No Operating Concern has assigned to Controlling Area" while AFAB for Prev Year

Hi All,

I am encountering an issue while executing the following transactions in the S/4HANA system for the previous fiscal year (2024):

• Depreciation Run (AFAB)
• Asset Transfer (ABUMN)
• Asset Acquisition (F-90)

The system throws the error:
"No Operating Concern has been assigned to the controlling area"

However, the Operating Concern is not activated in the system, not created aswell. This error does not occur in the current fiscal year (2025). Transactions are being posted successfully in the new fiscal year without encountering this issue.

Fiscal Year Details:

• Fiscal Year: January to December
• Current Fiscal Year: 2025
• Previous Fiscal Year: 2024
• Last Closed Fiscal Year: 2023
• Balance Carryforward to FY 2025: Completed

Additional Information:

• This project is Implementation (Realization Phase).
• 3 Depreciation Areas (attached SS) and 2 Currency Types - 10 - OMR & 30 - OMR 
• A screenshot of the Legacy Data Transfer status has been attached for reference.

Could you please provide insights into why this error is appearing only for the previous fiscal year?
