ASN IDOC Freight cost

Hello,

Is there a way to get freight costs in an inbound ASN Idoc ( Msg Type - DESADV).

We would like to get the actual freight costs using EDI, before we do the goods receipt. This will ensure that the moving average cost of material will also have the freight costs in it.

You can use segmet E1EDK08-FRAKO and E1EDK07-FRAKO for freight cost.

We are using basic type DELVRY03 for creating inbound delivery. This basic type does not have these segments.

Please use basic type DESADV01. So, you can found segment E1EDK08-FRAKO and E1EDK07-FRAKO for freight cost.

do you use freight conditions in purchase order item (if you are receiving the goods against the PO)?

Hi Peter,

Yes we do use freight condition in PO, but that's an estimated freight cost which is never equal to the invoiced freight. This messes up the material moving average price.

We are hoping that ASN would be the perfect time to receive exact freight costs from vendor and hence exploring that option.
