Hello Experts,
We need to archive and delete old data (2011–2018) from two large OpenText tables in our S/4HANA system, while retaining only the last 5 years:
1. /OTX/PF01_T_1IMG – Stores invoice images and document metadata.
2. /OTX/PF02_T_IMGF – Contains process-related document details.
Total size: 0.7TB.
Challenges & Questions:
1. Is there a standard OpenText archiving object for these tables in SARA?
2. If not, what’s the best way to archive before deletion?
3. What is the best way to delete large amounts of data in SAP HANA while minimizing system impact?
Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
Indeed the archiving object is /OPT/DOC
This is chapter 'Data archiving configuration' in the configuration guide.
We are using it since a bit more than a year. This is really a must for VIM as the data storage of VIM is terrible (and not efficient). For example, the amount of data generated by VIM in CDPOS is huge (there's an option to change this behaviour but the impact of reporting is not clear).
